Indian Harmoniums & Shruti Boxes

Indian Harmoniums are keyboard instruments where sound is produced by vibrating a metal reed inside a wooden box, using air pumped in through bellows. Shruti Boxes work on a similar principle but are used exclusively as a monotone accompaniment to create a meditative atmosphere. Harmoniums are popularly used for singing Bhajans and Mantras.
